Christie was fed up with living in the orphanage and decided to run away. She had been living there since she was two years old, ever since her parents died in a car accident on their way to buy groceries. Christie would have been with them in the car, but her aunt had been baby sitting her at the time.

After Christie’s parents died, the authorities decided to send her to an orphanage until she became an adult. Her aunt, her only relative, was deemed unfit to raise her because of her history with drug addiction.

Thus, little Christie began life at the orphanage. She missed her parents so much but knew she would never see them again.
