The firehouse, built in 1906, still retains its original brass fire poles, dry hoses, spiral staircases, and walls adorned with murals that narrate the fire station’s history. Cooper spent years meticulously restoring it, installing an elevator, and infusing it with his personal touch.

The second floor houses a salon adorned with taxidermy, Old Master paintings, and hand-painted signs Cooper collected during his travels to Cuba and Africa. The living room features a side table with a Victorian calendar, a poignant memento from his mother’s bedroom, marking the date his brother, Carter Cooper, passed away.
