Woman Takes DNA Test to Prove to Another Woman That She Is Her Newborn’s Biological Mother – Story of the Day
Samantha was shocked when a strange woman showed up at her door and said her baby wasn’t hers. She didn’t believe it, but the DNA test revealed something shocking, and her husband confessed a horrible truth.
“Hello, may I help you?” Samantha asked the woman who had shown up at her door. The stranger looked up at her with worried eyes. Her hair was in disarray, and her demeanor was odd. But Samantha’s mother had taught her manners, and she would greet everyone politely. After all, everyone at Birmingham, Alabama, dripped of Southern charm.
“Yes, are you Samantha Hanson?” the woman asked suddenly.

“Yes, I am. What can I do for you?”
“This is going to sound awful, and it might be the worst news of your life, but you gave birth at UAB Hospital, correct? I believe you took my baby,” the stranger revealed.
Samantha’s mouth dropped open, and despite her stellar manners, she started laughing. “Listen, ma’am. I don’t know what’s your game, but I suggest you leave right now before I call my husband over here,” she told the woman at her door.
“I know!” the woman yelled desperately. Tears started running down her face. “I know it sounds insane. But I have a feeling. The doctors said my baby died, but she was completely healthy when I held her for the first time. Something happened at the hospital. I know it!”
Samantha almost cringed at the word “healthy” coming from the woman’s mouth. She and her husband, Henry, had a difficult time getting pregnant. They suffered several miscarriages and went through harrowing IVF rounds. Childbirth had been complicated, but now, they finally had their baby, Grace. She was perfect. Vibrant. The picture of health. It was all worth it. And she belonged to her.

“Something could’ve happened at the hospital, but I don’t see how that concerns me,” Samantha spoke up, starting to get angry at the idea that someone wanted to take Grace away.
“Please! I beg you! What would you do in my shoes? My friend at the hospital gave me the list of all the babies born that day at the hospital two weeks ago, and yours was the only other girl. Please! Help me!” the woman begged and sobbed.
“What do you want me to do?”
