After Husband’s Death, Poor Old Widow Finds His Parents’ Will in a Cache in the Wall – Story of the Day
|Sarah decided to visit her depressed widowed grandmother, Agatha, at one point. She also offered to spruce up her living room. She got to work and discovered a wall made of wood, which collapsed with little force. But then, something inside the walls shocked her.
“Grandma, you’ve been here alone for a long time. I think it would be better for you to move in with me and my husband,” Sarah told her grandmother, Agatha, for what seemed like the millionth time. “I’m paying for it. But that’s my point. You can sell this house once we fix it up and live the rest of your life comfortably with that money,” Sarah insisted.
“I don’t want to sell it.”
“Grandma, please. It’s the best option. You can’t stay alone here anymore. But let’s go one day at a time. We’ll fix things up and see what happens,” Sarah hedged, trying to get her grandmother to at least agree to fix a few things. The living room and several bedrooms were in serious need of some TLC, and Sarah was great at that stuff.
Finally, the older woman agreed, and Sarah smiled.

After a long trip to the hardware store, Sarah was ready to start sprucing the living room up. She moved the furniture outside, and Agatha helped wherever possible. But she mostly sat back and watched her granddaughter doing stuff or cleaning the kitchen. It was time to remove that old wallpaper. She planned to plaster the wall...
